Alaina as 'Nettie Fowler', in CAROUSEL

Alaina Margaret Droog (she/her) is an Actor, Singer, Guitar-Player, Dancer, and Songwriter based in New York. Originally from Grafton, North Dakota, Alaina is a performer who is heavily influenced by her small-town values---no matter where she is on her adventure! She is constantly romanticizing life and often gets caught up in the excitement of it all.  At the end of the day nothing  beats honest work and appreciating the simple things. Alaina often finds inspiration and importance in little moments and fine points that others might miss. This detail-oriented focus can be recognized in all her work, whether it be a new song she's writing or one of her theatrical performances.

Alaina recently graduated from Shenandoah Conservatory (Class of ‘23), with her her B.F.A. in Musical Theatre under Program Director Kevin Covert. In addition she earned a Certificate in Songwriting.

When she’s not performing, Alaina enjoys listening to Hans Zimmer, practicing Norwegian, and writing silly songs on her guitar. Oh and overthinking everything---she's often doing that too.

Some of Alaina’s favorite past credits include John Dickinson in Shenandoah Conservatory’s all female production of 1776, Sheila Bryant in A CHORUS LINE, and Nettie Fowler in CAROUSEL.
